Job Title: Finance Director

Summary:
The Finance Director (FD) is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. The FD will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and the executive team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and tax laws. Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Financial Control & Risk Management: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud. Identify and assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Oversee the company’s insurance programs.
- Treasury Management: Manage the company’s cash flow, investments, and debt. Optimize working capital and ensure sufficient liquidity. Negotiate favorable terms with banks and other financial institutions.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Participate in M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
- Investor Relations: (If applicable) Support investor relations activities, including preparing financial presentations and communicating with investors.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Provide insightful reports and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, and ERP systems.
