The Hertz Finance Accelerated Leadership Program (FALP) is a highly selective, two-year rotational program designed to cultivate future finance leaders within the Hertz Corporation. It offers recent college graduates with exceptional academic records and a passion for finance an unparalleled opportunity to gain broad exposure to various aspects of the company’s financial operations.
The program’s core structure consists of four distinct six-month rotations. These rotations are carefully curated to provide a comprehensive understanding of key finance functions, including but not limited to: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Treasury, and Revenue Management. During each rotation, participants are immersed in the day-to-day activities of the respective team, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to real-world projects that directly impact the company’s financial performance.
Within FP&A, participants might be involved in developing annual budgets, forecasting future revenue streams, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. In Accounting, they could assist with the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. A Treasury rotation could involve managing cash flow, analyzing investment opportunities, and mitigating financial risks. In Revenue Management, participants may work on optimizing pricing strategies, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
Beyond the rotational assignments, the FALP emphasizes professional development and leadership training. Participants engage in regular mentoring sessions with senior leaders, participate in workshops focused on leadership skills, communication, and problem-solving, and have opportunities to network with colleagues across the organization. The program aims to equip participants with the technical skills, business acumen, and leadership capabilities necessary to excel in their careers at Hertz.
Successful completion of the FALP positions graduates for accelerated career advancement within the Hertz finance organization. Many alumni of the program have gone on to hold leadership positions in various departments, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in identifying and developing future leaders.
